π» System Requirements
To use the SERA platform, you have absolutely nothing to install. The application runs directly online, just like a regular website. No heavy software, no specific component, and no extension is required on your computer or smartphone.
Whether you’re a traveler booking a trip from your phone or a ticket agent managing flows at the station, all you need is an internet connection and a web browser to be immediately operational.
1. π 1. Supported Web Browsers
To enjoy a smooth interface, especially when handling the interactive bus seat map, we recommend using the latest versions of the following browsers:
| Device | Recommended browsers |
|---|---|
On Computer (Counter & Management) |
Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Edge or Safari (Mac). |
On Smartphone & Tablet (Travelers) |
Google Chrome Mobile, Safari Mobile or Mozilla Firefox Mobile. |
|
Old browsers not recommended: Using very old browsers (such as Internet Explorer or outdated phone versions) is strongly discouraged. These older pieces of software lack the security mechanisms essential to protecting your transactions and will block the dynamic display of bus seats. |
2. πΆ 2. Internet Connection and Network
For bookings to synchronize instantly between the website and all physical bus station counters, the application operates with a real-time update system.
-
Stability required: An active, stable internet connection is essential to prevent two people from booking the same seat at the same time.
-
Connection types: The platform is optimized to be very lightweight. A simple mobile connection (3G or 4G), an ADSL line or fiber optic all work perfectly.
-
Advice for counters: At transport stations, we recommend that cooperatives have a backup 4G dongle (or a second SIM card) to immediately take over in case of a temporary outage of their main internet provider.
3. π 3. Recommended Hardware for Cooperative Counters
If you manage a physical ticket sales counter, installing this standard equipment will guarantee optimal day-to-day working comfort:
-
Standard-sized computer screen: A display with sufficient surface area is recommended to comfortably view the entire vehicle seat map and quickly enter traveler information.
-
Thermal receipt printer: A standard ticket printer (connected via USB or network to your workstation) is required if you wish to instantly issue printed paper receipts to customers buying their ticket on site.
